How to verify your email
Why verification matters, how it works, and what to do if the email doesn't arrive.
Email verification is the foundation of every other security feature. It's also a hard requirement for withdrawals above the small-amount threshold and for password resets.
How it works
When you register, we send a one-time verification link to the address you provided. Clicking that link confirms ownership of the inbox. The link is valid for one hour from registration — after that, it expires and you'll need to start the signup over.
If the email didn't arrive
- Check spam / junk. Around half of "missing" verification emails are sitting in a spam folder.
- Wait a minute. Some providers (Outlook, especially) queue mail in batches.
- Check the address. If you typo'd the email on signup, the link went somewhere else and you'll need to restart with the correct address.
- Add us to contacts. If your inbox keeps eating our mail, allow-listing the sender domain fixes it for future password reset / 2FA emails.
Changing the address later
You can change the email tied to your account in Settings → Account. The flow is the same: we send a verification link to the new address, and the change takes effect once you click it. The old address is informed by mail at the same time, so a hijacker can't quietly swap it out without you knowing.
